Islamabad: Pakistan has signed a major joint defense agreement with Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, marking an important development in regional security and diplomatic relations.

The agreement was signed in Makkah on August 7, 2026. Under the deal, the three countries agreed to strengthen cooperation in defense and security. One of the key provisions states that an armed attack against any one of the three countries would be considered an attack against all three. The countries have described the agreement as defensive in nature and not directed against any specific country.
